NO PRIOR SWIM INSTRUCTOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED   

PART-TIME/HOURLY TEAM MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR RAISE AFTER EVERY 60 SHIFTS

SUMMARY 

In this role, you will provide private and group swim instruction to participants in Premier swim programs. You will be supervised by Lead Instructors and Deck Supervisors. You will be required to follow the Premier swim lesson curriculum. You will be primarily responsible for all events occurring on the deck. Including, but not limited to, opening/closing procedures, equipment care, and communicating water chemistry needs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Responsible for facilitation of swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff 
  • Implementation and use of Lesson Plan daily, as provided by Premier management staff 
  • Responsible for the safety of all program participants in group lessons, private lessons, and patrons on deck. 
  • Responsible for set up and break down of lesson stations. 
  • Effectively communicates information in a timely manner to the supervisor.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service to customers. 
  • Ensures that all rules and appropriate safety measures are stated, communicated, and carried out by all swim instructors. 
  • Maintains positive and supportive relationships with all facility employees, guests, and supervisors in order to facilitate the accomplishment of Premier's goals. 
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness and order for the Swim Complex by using staff resources and by working closely with facility maintenance crews. 
  • Attend quarterly in-service training programs. 
  • Follows Premier dress code and code of conduct as stated in the Premier Employee manual. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 

  • Must be at least 15 years of age
  • Be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week (3.1 to 5-hour shifts)
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
  • Obtain a CPR Support certification within 30 days of your original offer date
  • Pass Live Scan background check

Preferred

  • Have prior swim instructor/coaching experience
  • CPR or Lifeguard certification
  • Evening, weekday, and/or weekend availability
  • Previous experience with children
  • Previous experience with people with disabilities and/or special needs
